A modest bungalow on a beautiful lot in the St. Phillips area of Newfoundland quietly awaits it’s fate. It’s amazing to compare this small home to the large houses that are built today and begs the question of how much do we really need? I’m sure there are some stories and memories here
Traditional home in Ochre Pit Cove, Newfoundland. Home of Edward and Janet Edgecombe. Boyhood home of a Royal Newfoundland Regiment soldier Private Silas Edgecombe who never made it back from World War 1 and who is now buried in England, with a family memorial headstone in the local cemetery just up the road. An abandoned house in Long Beach, Newfoundland. The side has been completely blown out of this poor old place, most likely due to a combination of the powerful winds this province is known for and general decay and rot which has occurred over the years that has left the house structurally unsound. The contents of the house are now hanging out from what is left. Sad to see as this looked like it was a cozy little home in its day, on a quiet lane, with a beautiful stretch of land behind it leading to the ocean
